Literacy and Reading Co-ordinator – TLR 2. 2 Required for September 2021, a well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner. This is a superb opportunity for a talented practitioner who wants to work in a warm and welcoming school that values its staff highly. You would be part of a well established, experienced and enthusiastic English department who have an innovative and research-led approach to teaching and learning. English is a very popular subject in our high-performing Sixth Form, and the subject area sits above or in line with every one of the new progress and attainment measures at Key Stage 4. The breadth of subjects taught within the English Faculty provides opportunities for colleagues to pursue areas of interest, and in this case, up to KS5. This is an exciting position for a well-rounded English teacher who is both driven and passionate about improving both Literacy and reading across the whole school curriculum and potentially in a cross-phase fashion. Alongside being an excellent classroom practitioner, we are also looking for someone to lead on reading and Literacy.
